Rental Information

Rental Reservations & Policy

  • Aiken County Historical Museum sponsored activities will take priority in the scheduling of all events.
  • Scheduling is done on a first come, first serve basis if space and staff are available.
  • There is no guarantee that other rooms will be unoccupied during your event. The rental of the Museum does not include the exclusive use of the hallways, bathrooms, parking lot, etc.
  • No rental is considered confirmed until an event contract is completed and signed and the deposits are paid.
  • No more than 250 attendees at a flux event shall be permitted in the parlor, ballroom, and grounds simultaneously.
  • Parking may not be reserved during regular Museum hours.
  • There is a minimum rental requirement of 4 hours.

Parlor

This room can seat approximately 30 people at tables, 50 people in theater style seating, and 70 people standing. The room has direct access to the handicap ramp. The room has a piano permanently in the space that is an artifact and cannot be played, decorated for events, or utilized as an additional table.

Ballroom

This room can seat approximately 80 people at tables, 100 people in theater style seating, and 150 people standing. The room has Wi-Fi that can be used for presentations, sales, and research. The room has a piano permanently in the space that can be played (renter is responsible for the cost of tuning it), but it cannot be decorated for events or utilized as an additional table.

Conference Room

This room can seat approximately 20 people at tables, 35 people in theater style seating, and 45 people standing. This room can be closed off from the main museum. It has a pull-down projection screen and it has an attached kitchen. The kitchen is outfitted with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator – all of which can be used by the renter.

Grounds

The grounds of the Museum may also be rented with an additional deposit.

The Aiken County Historical Museum, under the direction of the Aiken County Historical Commission, collects, preserves, promotes, interprets, and exhibits the historical objects of Aiken County and its surrounds.
